Organization Background: 

 Afghan Development and Vocational Training Program (ADVTP) is a non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental organization established in1991 working with the poor and marginalized community to reduce poverty and inequality through an innovative approach and rights based perspective. The organization is registered with the government of Afghanistan, Ministry of Economy (Registration No 301).on 2006. (ADVTP) is committed to gender equity and a rights‐based approach to programming promoting active participation of communities in decision-making and in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs. The main office is located in Kabul Afghanistan with four regional offices in Logar , Parwan, , Paktia, Khost and one liaison office in Peshawar. ADVTP has been carrying out its activities/ services in Kabul, Logar, Khost, Paktia, parwan,kundoz and Takhar provinces in the sector of Vocational Training program Construction/Rehabilitation of Road, Bridge, Water supply (Pipe scheme, shallow well, drawing point) Shelter, Irrigation, Poultry, Food production, Capacity building, Emergency / Free Distribution etc. ADVTP is governed by a five member board of directors. 2. Responsibilities 

  •  Tor Network Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Tor network, including its architecture, protocols, and encryption methods. Understanding how Tor can be used to enhance privacy and security in plumbing-related activities and student projects. 
  • 2. Plumbing Knowledge: Strong knowledge of plumbing concepts, practices, and systems. Understanding how Tor can be applied in the context of plumbing projects, research, and relevant applications. 
  • 3. Training Program Development: Ability to design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by plumbing teachers and students. This includes creating lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that incorporate Tor into plumbing education. 
  • 4. Instructional Delivery: Strong presentation and facilitation skills to deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to teachers. This includes explaining complex technical concepts related to Tor and its applications in plumbing education in a clear and understandable manner. 
  • 5. Student Engagement Strategies: Skill in developing student-centered learning activities that involve Tor and its applications in plumbing. This includes hands-on projects, simulations, and problem-solving exercises that allow students to explore and understand the benefits of Tor in plumbing practices. 
  • 6. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey the benefits and proper use of Tor to teachers and students. This includes addressing questions, providing guidance, and offering ongoing support to educators and students. 
  • 7. Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience in collaborating with teachers, subject matter experts, and industry professionals to enhance plumbing education. This allows for the exchange of ideas, sharing of best practices, and the development of collaborative learning environments. 
  • 8. Evaluation and Feedback: Skill in assessing student learning outcomes and providing constructive feedback to teachers. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of Tor based learning activities and making improvements based on feedback. 
  • 9. Adaptability to Student Needs: Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles, technical backgrounds, and levels of familiarity with Tor among students in the field of plumbing

3. Qualifications and Experience 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security-related position, preferably in a similar role within an NGO or international organization.
  •  Education: secondary high school diploma / A bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field is typically required. This provides you with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, which is essential for teaching and training others in the subject. 
  •  Teaching Experience: 2-5 experience as a teacher or instructor in the field of electrical engineering is valuable. This experience helps you understand the learning needs and challenges of students and enables you to effectively design and deliver training programs for teachers. 
  •  Plumbing License or Certification: Holding a valid plumbing license or certification demonstrates your expertise and proficiency in the field of plumbing. It ensures that you have the necessary knowledge of plumbing systems and practices. 
  •  Tor Network Expertise: In-depth knowledge and expertise in the Tor network, including its architecture, protocols, and encryption methods. Understanding the benefits and applications of Tor in the context of plumbing projects and student activities. 
  •  Professional Plumbing Experience: Industry experience as a plumber is highly beneficial. It provides practical insights into plumbing practices, challenges, and applications, which can be shared with teachers and students. 
  •  Training and Instructional Design: Familiarity with instructional design principles and training methodologies is essential. This includes the ability to develop training programs, create instructional materials, and deliver engaging and interactive sessions. 
  •  Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effectively conveying complex technical concepts to teachers and students. You should be able to explain plumbing and Tor-related topics clearly, adapt your communication style to different audiences, and address questions effectively. 
  •  Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience working collaboratively with other educators, subject matter experts, and industry professionals is valuable.

  • Plumbing Systems: A comprehensive understanding of various plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and venting systems. This includes knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, fixtures, and their installation requirements. 
  • 2. Plumbing Codes and Regulations: Familiarity with local plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards. Understanding the requirements for plumbing installations, safety measures, and compliance with building codes. 
  • 3. Pipe Sizing and Layout: Proficiency in pipe sizing calculations and designing plumbing systems to ensure proper flow rates and pressure. This includes knowledge of pipe materials, sizing charts, and hydraulics principles. 
  • 4. Plumbing Tools and Equipment: Skill in using and demonstrating the proper use of plumbing tools and equipment. This includes hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, threading machines, and soldering equipment. 
  • 5. Pipe Joining Methods: Knowledge of different pipe joining methods, such as soldering, brazing, compression fittings, and solvent welding. Understanding when and how to use each method based on the type of pipe material and application. 
  • 6. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Ability to diagnose plumbing problems, such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctions, and provide effective solutions. Understanding common plumbing issues and the steps to repair or replace faulty components. 
  • 7. Safety Practices: Strong emphasis on safety practices and precautions in plumbing work. This includes knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe work practices, and handling hazardous materials.
